Keto Chocolate Birthday Cake

Just because it’s your birthday doesn’t mean you have to skip the cake! This was my actual keto chocolate birthday cake which I shared with my friend Danielle last year. We often celebrate our birthdays together. Her family had no idea it was sugar-free and gluten-free. They loved it!

Serves 16

Carb 3 Grams/Serving

Cake Ingredients


  1. Pre-heat oven to 350
  2. Spray cake pan with coconut oil spray
  3. Place all ingredients in large bowl
  4. Mix with hand mixer until smooth
  5. Pour into cake pan, tap pan on counter to remove any bubbles
  6. Bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes until toothpick comes out clean
  7. Place on rack to cool, 30-60 minutes

Frosting Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese (room temp)
  • ½ cup butter or coconut oil (room temp)
  • 1/3 cup powdered monk fruit sweetener
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa
  • 2 tablespoons coconut creamer or heavy cream (zero carb)

Frosting Directions

  1. In medium bowl, beat butter (or coconut oil) and cream cheese with hand mixer until smooth
  2. Add remaining ingredients and beat for several minutes until super smooth and creamy
  3. Once cake is cooled to room temp, frost and place in fridge for at least 4 hours prior to serving
  4. Place candles, rose pedals, any other decorations on cake and serve
